READYCHARGE™ Discharge Ink is a revolutionary water based, FORMALDEHYDE NEUTRALIZED, SINGLE COMPONENT screen printing ink.  By replacing the typical PVC plastisol inks, the hand of the print is significantly reduced.

FEATURES:

  • No Offensive Sulfur Odor
  • For use on 100% cotton fabrics
  • Softer hand than typical PVC Plastisol under base
  • Ready For Use (Print directly from the container! No additional discharge agent needed.)
  • Shelf life of 1 year (Unused ink can be carded from the screen and returned to the original container)
  • Phthalate compliant
  • Free of AZO, PCP, APEO, and NMP

APPLICATION OF READYCHARGE™ Discharge Ink:
This ink is specifically designed to be used directly from the container. DO NOT ADD ADDITIONAL DISCHARGE AGENT. This will render the ink useless. Crock and wash fastness should be tested prior to printing any fabrics. If screens are to be left idle for long periods of time, remove ink from the print area and clean the image area with water.

RECOMMENDED FABRICS: 100% Cotton fabrics

MESH: 156-230 mesh for best results

EMULSION: Use of a quality direct water resistant emulsion that has been properly exposed. READYCHARGE™ INKS feature a slip aid that reduces squeegee drag, improves screen life, and increases screen open time without affecting or extending cure time.

SQUEEGEE PARAMETERS (MANUAL PRINTING): A sharp edge with a 60-70 durometer is preferable. These inks do not need to be driven into the fabric but rather will naturally be drawn into the fabric of the garment. Leaving the screen flooded in between prints will maintain a well lubricated mesh.

FLOOD BAR AND SQUEEGEE PRESSURE (AUTOMATIC PRINTING): A 60-70 durometer squeegee with a sharp edge is preferable. If using a triple durometer squeegee, use a 60/90/60 or a 70/90/70, also with a sharp edge. Pressure should be adjusted to a medium level. These inks do not need to be driven into the fabric, but rather will naturally be drawn into the fabric of the garment. If you see a print on the inside of the garment, reduce the pressure. Reduce the pressure on the flood bars also; the ink does not need to be forced into the mesh as a plastisol does.

FLASHING: Flashing is helpful to reduce the moisture of the under base, but full discharging or curing of the ink is not required during the print cycle. Complete discharge will be completed as the plastisol is cured via the properly set dryer.

CURING: 360°F - 375°F for 2 minutes and 30sec. to 3 minutes

CLEAN-UP: Typically, water will serve as an appropriate solvent for cleaning the screen and associated tools. In the event of more difficult clean up situations, a mixture of water and a small amount of common dish soap can be used.

STORAGE OF INKS: READYCHARGE™ INKS are ready to use and designed to maintain full activity with an expected shelf life of several months when handled and stored properly. These inks are water base and therefore, evaporation will occur. It is recommended that covers be returned to containers and tightly sealed when not being used. Containers should not be stored in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. Unused ink can be carded from the screen and returned to the original container upon completion of print run.

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
READYCHARGE™ INKS are Phthalate compliant and free of AZO, PCP, APEO, and NMP.
READYCHARGE™ INKS are designed to be printed as is, reducing with water is not recommended. Adding water can adversely affect the inks viscosity and its ability to completely discharge and may extend cure time.
